Ambassador Clifford S. Maribe, Deputy Permanent Secretary – Bilateral Diplomacy, delivered an insightful presentation on Botswana’s Foreign Policy to the Botswana Defence Force Senior Command & Staff Programme (Class 18 of 2026). The session explored Botswana’s foreign policy as a strategic instrument for advancing national interests, safeguarding sovereignty, promoting sustainable development, and strengthening the country’s engagement and influence within the regional and international community. It also highlighted the importance of principled, pragmatic, and development-oriented diplomacy in addressing today’s evolving global challenges.
