The Ambassador of the United States of America His Excellency, Mr Howard Van Vranken, paid a farewell courtesy call on the Minister of International Relations, Honourable Dr. Phenyo Butale.

During the discussions, Honourable Dr. Butale applauded the Ambassador for his commitment and invaluable contribution in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. The Minister further commended the Ambassador for a successful tour of duty and wished him well on his future endeavours.

For his part, Ambassador Vranken thanked the Honourable Minister for hosting him and commended the excellent relations that have continued to exist between the United States of America and Botswana. Ambassador Vranken thanked the Government and the people of Botswana for the support and warm hospitality he received while serving in Botswana.
