Honourable Minister of International Relations Dr. Phenyo Butale hosted Batswana living in South Korea for a lunch engagement aimed at strengthening ties with the diaspora community.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the Honourable Minister to interact with Batswana on matters of national interest and to brief them on the agenda of the new Government, including measures being undertaken to resuscitate the economy.

In this regard, the Honourable Minister shared details on the objectives and progress of the Botswana Economic Transformation Programme as well as the National Development Plan 12 (NDP 12).

The Minister further encouraged Batswana living in South Korea to acquire relevant skills and knowledge during their stay abroad, which they can later impart to others upon their return to Botswana, thereby contributing to national development and the growth of the country.
